Work that matters begins with people.

At the Leelanau Conservation District, our work is rooted in service—to the land, to our communities, and to one another.

Whether we're helping a landowner, visiting a classroom, walking a forest, or protecting neighboring waterways, we believe stewardship is built through relationships.

The Leelanau Conservation District is seeking an organized, thoughtful, and service-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. This full-time position is at the center of the District’s daily operations—welcoming and assisting the public, supporting our Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control (SESC) Program, coordinating organizational and event details, and working closely with the Executive Director and District staff. We’re looking for someone who enjoys helping people, brings order to moving pieces, and is curious and ready to learn. Conservation or SESC experience is welcome, but not required. Starting wage is $26–$28 per hour, and applications will be reviewed as received through September 11, 2026.
