The Leelanau Conservation District is hosting its 77th Annual Meeting this November 4th! Come celebrate another year of conservation with the LCD staff, board of directors, and other Leelanau residents. There will be dinner, drinks, and many prizes and auction items generously donated by local businesses. We will also hold an election for two seats on the board and spend some time introducing the LCD team. Contact our office before October 28th to purchase tickets. We hope to see you there! 2023 marks the beginning of the LCD's new 5-year strategic plan and we need your input. What natural resources do you value most in Leelanau County and where should we be focusing our conservation efforts? The survey takes about 5 minutes to complete and helps the future of our programming immensely. Plus, anyone who completes the survey will receive a $10 voucher for LCD merchandise (locally-sourced honey, dried cherries, and more)! Thank you so much to all who participated!
If you missed the sale and find yourself in need of some pines, we've got you covered. Contact our office for pricing and availability of leftover white pine, red pine, white cedar, white spruce, and balsam fir. The rainy weather and warm ground makes for a perfect time to plant. Happy fall! Comments are closed.
