Effort was made to purchase the largest and thus more expensive size trees available since most of the recent customers want fewer but larger plants. If you do not see a species or size you want, call us we may be able to find it. Other tree planting products and local food products are still available. Call, stop in or visit www.leelanaucd.org for more information.

The best time to plant a tree is NOW! We expect shrubs to bear fruit in 3-7 years after planting, depending on site and conditions. For all our plants, we encourage watering often, 1-2 times a week for the first two years is ideal, and use TerrasorbTM to ensure success. Always over-dig the size of your hole, and never put roots into a J shape in a hole that is too short. Use only mechanical/manual weed control when planting for the first year if no site prep is done already. Mulching should be 2-4” deep only, and never allow the mulch to physically touch the stem of the plant keep it back an inch or more. Liquid fertilization is not recommended until the plant has been in the ground at least a year if at all. Get a soil test.
